Live Insights into Daily Life in the Laboratory at analytica USA in Columbus, Ohio

Live Lab @ analytica USA

The popular analytica Live Lab from Munich is coming to the USA! Come along and experience complete workflows and the interaction of the latest products and systems in use. What does a state-of-the-art laboratory look like today and what equipment is being used? Find out by attending our one-hour live demonstrations on the laboratory bench. You will be able to gain practical insights and experience all common procedures or specific methods in a real laboratory environment.

Innovative developments in sample preparation and separation technologies as chromatography, mass spectrometry, particle characterization and measurement technologies, sample handling and storage are issued for a wide range of applications. The latest devices and software solutions for analysis, chemistry, biotechnology, diagnostics, food, pharma, environment and water as well as digitalization are carried out by experts with practical experiments. Throughout the entire value chain of analytics pioneering solutions and latest innovations are presented. Specialists show how intelligent automation and connected workflows are set to transform laboratory operations.

In the practice-oriented Live Lab, the work steps from sample preparation to analysis and evaluation of the results will be demonstrated. Based on various applications, you will learn how important precise sample preparation is for reliable analysis results. On the other hand, discover how automation and very new methods can save time-consuming sample preparation in the separation of chiral compounds. Learn more about sample temperature control and sample handling using the practical examples shown and experience new perspectives in cell culture cultivation and disinfection. See for yourself fully automated water content analysis and automated workflows for high throughput KF titrations. Experience a precise method for quantifying polysorbates in biopharma formulations. Gain insights into the future of the laboratory with various live applications.

Brightspec, Caron Scientific, Fritsch, Lauda, Mettler Toledo, Netzsch and Thermo Fisher Scientific will present live first-hand new device developments and new methods in a specially constructed lab. In this connection the Köttermann workbench forms the ideal basis for efficient workflows.

There will also be time and space for questions: You can discuss and exchange ideas with the experts: Whether it is a current use case from your research laboratory or an issue from the development laboratory.

Join us for the Live Lab, running every day at 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM. On the last day, catch the final demonstrations at 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM only. Right beside the Live Lab, there will be another special show on the topic of Digital Transformation. These presentations will also take place here three times a day, alternating with the Live Lab sessions—offering you twice the opportunity to gain valuable insights.

Milling and particle size analysis

Great results start with a strong lineup. Teaming advanced milling & particle size analysis instruments together can cover all the bases, sample integrity, homogeneity, & accurate sizing. Knock your data out of the park. It’s a HOMERUN with PRO analytical outcomes, CRUSHED by-Fritsch SAMPLE PREP!

Fully automated water content analysis

Discover fully automated water content analysis with seamless integration of the METTLER TOLEDO EVA C3X Karl Fischer Titrator, InMotion KF Oven Autosampler, and XPR205 Analytical Balance. Learn how this system utilized external extraction techniques and enables efficient, safe, and automated workflows for high throughput KF titrations.

Quantifying polysorbates in biopharma formulations

Excipients in pharmaceuticals boost drug delivery, stability, and overall efficacy and safety. HPLC with charged aerosol detection is crucial for analyzing these often hard-to-detect excipients.

Discover a precise method for quantifying polysorbates in biopharma formulations using the Thermo Scientific Vanquish Inverse Gradient LC system and the new Thermo Scientific Vanquish Charged Aerosol Detector P series.

Intelligent laboratory design for modular functionality and reliable research

The Köttermann EXPLORIS workbench forms the ideal basis for efficient workflows. Base cabinets with soft-close drawers offer practical and comfortable storage space, while the durable Trespa TopLab PLUS worktop withstands even the most demanding tasks. A bright, open laboratory atmosphere is created by the distinctive translucent service cells. The integrated glass panels provide unobstructed views of ongoing work from multiple angles—supporting open communication and collaboration throughout the team. The system is completed by the modern Köttermann benchtop fume hood, which uses intelligent airflow control to ensure maximum protection and energy-efficient operation.

For almost 80 years, Köttermann has been developing and manufacturing high-quality laboratory solutions made of steel—in Germany and for the world. Individually tailored, long-lasting, and precisely engineered—for a safe and dependable working environment. From fume hoods and lab furniture to hazardous material cabinets and media supply systems, our comprehensive service supports customers worldwide—from planning through to installation and maintenance.

Molecular analysis

Experience the future of molecular analysis with spectraMRR. This breakthrough technique delivers confident structure ID and quantitation of challenging analytes such as identifying chiral molecules, isomers and diastereomers with a high level of selectivity, while simplifying workflows—no sample prep or chromatography required. Join us and see how BrightSpec's MRR is reshaping analytical chemistry.

Real-time curing of a 2-part epoxy

We will be monitoring the real-time curing of a 2-part epoxy with a NETZSCH DEA 288. The DEA 288 is based on measuring the mobility of ions and dipoles in an alternating electric field in-situ with a disposable sensor. The DEA will be compared to DSC and rheometry data.

Precise temperature control

The LAUDA Universa PRO and MAX represent the latest innovation in the world of precise temperature control from LAUDA. On display at analytica USA, we have a variety of the new units, including immersion circulators as well as both heating and refrigerating circulating baths. These products are designed with maximum flexibility for the customer.

Incubating cell cultures

Designed for biologics, the 7406 Series Incubator Shaker provides a precisely controlled environment for optimal cell growth and high-yield production. With advanced temperature, CO₂, humidity, and shaking control, these incubators ensure stable, reproducible conditions while maximizing lab space.

Featuring customizable shaking speeds, multiple orbit sizes, and a patented two-hour dry hydrogen peroxide sterilization cycle; the Caron Scientific's 7406 Series is built to support your research with unparalleled precision and reliability.
